Svetlana Chuklinova was born in Ketovo of Kurgan region. She received her initial music education in the Children's Music school where she studied balalaika. She then entered the choir directing department of the Music College of Kurgan. For two years she acted in Kurgan Region Drama Theatre, where she performed the main parts in Kolker's musical "Krechinsky's Wedding" and Kazenin's "Uncle's Dream".

1995 - Chuklinova entered the "Russian Drama Theatrical School" in St. Petersburg where she studied at the drama and movie actor/actress department; she graduated from it in 2000. 1999 - She entered the voice department of Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatoire to study with Professor Georgy Seleznev. 2004 - She graduated from Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatoire with honors and entered the postgraduate program of Conservatoire. 2006 - She completed the postgraduate program in performing arts.


2006 - She began working at the Musical Theatre "Zazerkalye" (St. Petersburg, Russia).

She has participated in various master-classes: Robert Hall's and Roodolf Janson's (Holland), Vladimir Atlantov's (Russia), Galina Vishnevskaya's (Russia), Liuba Kazarnovskaya's (Russia), Aleksandrina Miltcheva (Bulgaria), and others.

2008 - She made her first debut at The Mariinsky Opera and Ballet Theater singing the Khokhlakova in the play of "The Brothers Karamazov" by Smelkov /World premiere/. In 2009 she performed in productions of Mariinsky theatre ''Christmas eve'' by Rimsky-Korsakov,''The Carriage''modern opera by V.Kruglik- she performed head-woman's role Mrs.Chertakutskaya,''Die Frau ohne Schatten'' by Richard Strauss ,''The Brothers Karamazov'' by A.Smelkov. With Mariinsky company she participated in ''Golden Mask'' festival in 2009 and 2010 and in ''Easter''festival in 2009-under conducting of V.Gergiev.


She has been participating in different Russian and International contests.
2003 - She got the diploma and first prize at Glinka's XX International Vocal Contest (Astrahan, Russia) for the best performance of Glinka's composition.
2005, September - She became the second prize-winner in X-th Annual International Contest "Hopes, Talents, Masters" (Albena, Dobrich, Bulgaria).
2005, November - She became the first prize-winner in Rachmaninov's Music Competition (St. Petersburg, Russia).
2006 - She received the special prize for the best performance of Rimsky-Korsakov's compositions at the International Competition "Three Centuries of Classical Art-Song" (St. Petersburg, Russia).
